Kyle Seager Injury Report

By: Marcos Sandoval   After having hand surgery, third baseman Kyle Seager will have to miss 2 and a half months of baseball. The 31 Year Old injured a tendon in his hand on a diving play during a spring training game last week. The original time table would've been around 8 weeks but GM Dipoto extended it to 10-12 weeks. Seager can’t pick up a bat until 2 months have passed, so the Mariners can’t expect him to be able to hit major league pitching into weeks, that is why there is the extra rehab time. What I Think Of The Bryce Harper Signing

By: Noah Wright   On the 28th of February, outfielder Bryce Harper signed a $330 million mega deal for 13 years with the Philadelphia Phillies. It was the largest in free agent history to date. Even though Harper could be a great player, there is a lot of risk in this deal. The main risk in this deal is Harper’s inconsistency. Harper’s numbers in terms of WAR are all over the place. Just look at his WAR since his rookie season: 2012: 5.2 2013: 3.7 2014: 1.1 2015: 10.0 2016: 1.5 2017: 4.7 2018: 1.3 Harper has yet to put...

Since being acquired from the Twins for catcher John Ryan Murphy (who now plays for the Diamondbacks) after the 2015 season, Hicks has become the Yankees regular Center Fielder, where he is an elite defender. Why This Segura Trade For The Mariners Sucks

By: Noah Wright   The Mariners seemed to be starting to get things right when they started this tear down and rebuild. They first traded Mike Zunino to The Rays for Mallex Smith. Smith is a 25, entering age 26 season, who’s a great base runner, decent fielder, and provides a good batting average and OBP. He’s controllable through 2023, so The M’s made a trade for a player that they could either keep until they’re ready to compete again, or trade later in the season for more prospects. Then they made another move, trading James Paxton to The Yankees...
